My first day of work was not different from the first time I stepped in college, I was a bit nervous and at the same time excited. This is actually my first time to work, and like other first timers I don't have any idea of how it feels like working in a government agency like Department of Education. I'm not used to wearing formal attires; I’m comfortable in wearing jeans and a plain blouse or polo shirt, matched with my flat sandals. But now I'm starting to build my career, I should learn to follow rules and regulations, and as what said in the orientation, proper attire must be observed, so no choice for me!
I woke up early in my first day of work; I traveled 30 to 40 minutes before I reached Department of Education. I meet Angeline in the gate, and we were together in the line at CSCA. I don't have idea of what unit I was assigned; until I found my fellow trainees in the same unit I was assigned. We introduced ourselves, and I think they are nice people.I found out that Stephen and Mayjoy are my schoolmates, Alfrick is from University of the East and Arnold from the Pamantasan ng Pasig. Even though we just met, we are very much comfortable with each other, and we talked about so many things about our school, courses and a little background about ourselves.
When we were delivered in our assigned unit, we met the head and the staff of Communication Unit. They were always laughing and I knew they were happy persons; they will laugh during our short interview.I just hope and pray that I will do my best in every task that will be assigned to me. I'm looking forward to an exciting and enjoyable working experience.
